In today's knowledge-based economy, intellectual property (IP)
is the key element for competition in international markets. Many companies
have an inventory of patents from shelved projects that no longer fit the
company's strategy or core business. However, by expanding their business
models and leveraging intangible assets, companies can gain liquidity from
their IP. In addition, firms can create alliances in new and potentially
advantageous business arenas.
With its 5,700 employees providing technical assistance to
hundreds of companies each year, the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI)
has a proven ability to assess a patent's marketability and to assist buyers
and sellers in transferring intellectual property. By connecting patent sellers
and buyers, ITRI helps to maximize the value of IP for all
parties. ITRI's value-added professional services and presences in Taiwan make
the ITRI Taiwan International Patent Auction the best choice
for getting the most out of your intellectual property.
